We believe many clients shy away from hiring investment bankers until the last possible minute, waiting until they have decided to do a deal before bringing them on board. This often makes sense, since typical investment banking fee structures tend to make the bank the friend of the deal, rather than the friend of the client.

Unfortunately, waiting until the last minute to engage an advisor is almost exactly like relying on the local emergency room for your primary medical care.

In contrast, we tailor our fees to match your needs and align our incentives with your objectives. Depending on the circumstances, our fees can range from pure retainer to pure success fee, or any appropriate combination in between. This flexibility allows us to undertake assignments few other advisors would consider. It also offers you, the client, greater flexibility in how you approach strategic and financial opportunities, and greater confidence that your advisor has your best interests fully in mind.

If nothing else, the way we can structure our fee arrangement with you should encourage you to call us early and often. Early, because we can offer more valuable advice and direction the earlier we get involved in a developing situation, and often, because you should not be afraid to take (and demand) your advice in bite-sized chunks, when that is what is required.
